I would have to say that my boyfriend and I have a very unique relationship...We are together but not really together. We are separated by the Pacific Ocean, yet we are interconnected by technology. Crazy enough, we have been like this for more than 5 years.
We started as online buddies at an online game (it was our first time playing an actual online game..). Well..we were just chatting buddies..then things got serious.

Today...was my mother's birthday. Honest to say...I forgot about it, but I was very lucky because I cooked breakfast for my parents. When dad asked me if I knew it was mom's birthday today, I answered: "of course....why would I cook if I didn't know it was mom's birthday" ( I lied...)
This morning, I can sense that my dad was very excited about mom's birthday because it's been a while we went out and celebrated something.

Summer!!!! What a wonderful phrase to hear...........especially for full time students. Since USA is broke, a lot of State colleges cannot afford summer sessions anymore. Some colleges just cancel their class without letting the registered students know ahead of time. Fortunately, my summer session remained unchanged. Today, I attened the first day of class. For this summer, I'm taking Anthrop 2 (ONLINE). This means I don't have to literally go to class. Unfortunately, this is a 3 unit class, so I still need to study my butt off and write a bunch of essays.
I would say, this year is a major accomplishment for me. My parents have decided to give up on my personal life and decided to let me go back to Taiwan alone. Although I will leave them contact phone numbers, but I think they just decided to let me make my own decisions about my life. Lately, I was thinking of finishing off my school early by quitting my job and become a full time student. Unfortunately, at this age, my parents wants me to be more independent (that means, I have to pay for my own learning).

Strategy one: Seek Help
I "msn-ed" my oldest brother and see if he can talk sense out of my dad. He quickly called our house and tries to talk to him. My dad just brushed him away and told him that he's busy. He doesn't want to go out because he wants to stay at home and watch TV. (That's his only reason)

This memnorial weekend was a bad weekend as well...
Dad has been hooked on PPStream lately. In the beginning I wanted him to be happy so that he has something to do with his free time. I know he wants to save money by not renting dvds, so I introduced him to PP Stream. It's actually a really good software because it's all free and pretty reliable. The only bad thing about this software is that..it's too good.

Finally!!! HOLIDAY....although I don't have any plans for it yet...but..I better enjoy this holiday like there is no other ones later on...
Therefore, my plan for this HOLIDAY is to SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, two guys came to our branch to cash his check. One of the guy came up to me and ask me a bunch of questions that really makes me want to shove all of my money in his mouth.

I was so mad about the customer service's attitude, I called them back . I told the person to transfer me to the manager or the supervisor because the issue is so big that they cannot handle them. The 2nd person didn't transfer me and tries to help. She said that she can talk to the manager and see if it can be resolved. After 20 more minutes of holding, she said that they can honor it. So, I gave her all of my information(second time) and she took the order and send me an email receipt.
HAPPILY EVER AFTER.......THE END.........................right?

This weekend was probably the worst week ever, starting with Sunday. On Sunday, I was surfing on Dell and saw that they have a promotion for 25% off on selected camera. On the bottom of that advertisement, there's an icon that said "shop now". Now from my 10 years or so of online shopping experience, I know that usually the selected ones are indicated very clearly of the sales. But, for some reason, none of the cameras that was shown had any indication of price cut. So....in my perception, I assume that the ones that were shown were the "selected type".
After trying multiple attempts to purchase one of the camera, I realized that the 25% off was not taken off automatically. So, I called the customer care support. The person who helped my was asking me a lot of my questions about my address and name. And when I asked her the reason for the questions, she told that in order for her to help me, I would have to provide all of my personal information to her. After I told her everything, she said that she can help me place the order. But, when I told her about my attempt to purchase it myself online, the 25% off is not taken off automatically. She quickly paused and put me on hold for 30 minutes because she needs to consult her manager. After 30 minutes, she told me that those were not the selected ones. I told her since there is a problem with your website so you guys should honor it.
